This episode of Listening Experience is titled S42. It is a field recording of the S42 Ringbahn train. This train runs in a ring around Berlin, connecting with most of the other transit systems in the city.

I made this recording shortly after moving to Berlin in 2014. When I am in a new place, I like to record a sound that is representative of that place. The RIngbahn, because it is so central to daily life in Berlin, seemed like a good thing for this type of recording.
